National Science Teachers Association and OutStart Evolution LCMS Win Training Magazine’s ‘Technology in Action’ Award
BOSTON, Oct. 23, 2007 —OutStart, the leading provider of eKnowledge software solutions for learning and knowledge sharing, today announced that OutStart Evolution LCMS and OutStart customer, the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA), have won Training Magazine’s first ever ‘Technology in Action’ award for Learning Content Management Project of the Year. The award recognizes outstanding achievement at the intersection of strategic learning and innovative learning technologies.
The NSTA was recognized for its effort in developing online learning experiences for K-12 teachers focusing on science content. Reaching more than 25,000 teachers today and expected to grow to more than 1 million, the project enables science teachers to leverage e-learning and create a self-sustaining program that will have a significant impact on the quality of science teaching in the nation.
“We are honored by the award for our work to bring collaborative knowledge and learning to the nation’s science teachers,” said John Whitsett, president, NSTA 2007-2008. “Working with OutStart was a pleasure and using OutStart Evolution LCMS was a key factor in enabling us to put the project together and achieve our goals. We look forward to future success working with OutStart to build on our foundation and deliver more truly cutting edge solutions to improve education in our country.”
“Winning this award is truly meaningful because it’s based upon the success of one of our customers. The NSTA is an outstanding example of an organization using the power of Evolution LCMS to build and deploy highly effective learning,” said Massood Zarrabian, president and CEO of OutStart. “We congratulate NSTA for their efforts and are proud to accept the LCMS Project of the Year award for OutStart Evolution LCMS.”
“We had many entries for our first-ever technology in action awards and the NSTA LCMS implementation stood out from the rest,” said Joyceann Cooney-Garippa, group publisher & show director, Training Magazine. “We are pleased to recognize them for their efforts. They are truly exemplary best practices for others to learn from and follow.”
